Cooperation agreement with Russian partner Alliance Electro

On the 13th of October 2017 in the office in Stadła, Schwander Polska and Alliance Electro, a Russian company headquartered in St Petersburg, signed an agreement, the subject of which is to establish the cooperation in the scope of the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants based on MBR technology in the Russian Federation.
MBR market in the Russian Federation is fledging, with few installations being executed up to date, with a huge potential for the growth in the nearest future. Currently, the market is dominated by the conventional technologies of wastewater treatment, which in Poland have been replaced by modern and more effective MBR wastewater treatment plants due to EU funding programmes and recommendation of MBR technology as BAT (Best Available Technique) in wastewater treatment by EU institutions. It is worth mentioning, that MBR is at the moment the only technology, which enables to fulfil extremely strict requirements of wastewater treatment in the Russian Federation, therefore it is sure to become predominant in both small and large-scale applications over the course of next few years.
Conventional technologies are fairly outdated and do not allow for the achievement of the required level of treatment, therefore the natural way of development is to replace old technologies with modern and effective MBRs, which guarantee extremely low energy and chemicals consumption. What is more, modern MBR plants designed by Schwander Polska do not require the presence of employees at the plant, since the facility is remotely controlled in the so-called online supervision mode. All this contributes to the fact that this technology is absolutely unrivalled when it comes to the costs borne by the operator of the plant.
Schwander Polska, as a company having years of experience in the design, construction and operation of MBR wastewater treatment plants, have decided to provide necessary support to Alliance Electro, offering assistance in the design of wastewater treatment facilities, which are not only safe for the environment and extremely effective, but also allow for endless possibilities of treated water reuse.
At the moment, both companies are close to completion of the design documentation of MBR wastewater treatment plant near St. Petersburg. In case of the finalisation of the project, it will be the first MBR plant employing advanced automation RTC N/DN system in the Russian Federation.
