New waste processing technology already in Poland!
19.02.2024

The installation is already up and running. We will start testing in the first decade of March. The capacity of the installation is about 2,000 tons of organic sludge (20% MS) /year. It is a typical containerized version, which can be successfully used for agglomerations up to 20000 p.e.

At present, we have designed 4 installations in local government units that will convert sewage sludge and bio-waste into hydrochar (an alternative energy source with a calorific value of 25,000 MJ/kg). It is well known that wastewater is an untapped source of renewable energy. Incorporating HTC technology into the wastewater treatment process makes it possible to meet all the requirements of the new Wastewater Directive of the Parliament and Council of the European Union. Under its terms, "(...) member states will be obliged to use tertiary and, later, quaternary treatment. The directive will thus introduce an energy-neutrality target, which means that municipal wastewater treatment plants will have to gradually increase the share of renewable energy used each year."

We would also like to mention that wastewater treatment technology (MBR) with the introduction of a fourth treatment stage will allow us to meet all requirements for the use of treated wastewater (permeate) as usable water thanks to the used hybrid techniques ( including low-temperature plasma technology).

We invite all interested parties to see our installation. This is the first HTC installation of this type in Poland on such a large scale. We will provide further details in a forthcoming report.
