The HTC hydrothermal carbonization pilot is operating!

We started testing the treatment of different fractions of organic waste (sewage sludge, bio-waste, digestate) with the aim of optimizing the processes on HTC's large-scale pilot plant last week.
It is well known that wastewater is an untapped source of renewable energy. Incorporating HTC technology into the wastewater treatment process makes it possible to meet all the requirements of the new directive of the European Parliament and the Council on wastewater.
As a reminder, the capacity of our plant is approximately 2,000 tons of sewage sludge (20% Sm) /year. As a containerized version that can be used for agglomerations of up to 20000 p.e..
