Meeting with the Minister Czesław Siekierski
Schwander Polska took part in a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Czesław Siekierski, where, together with staff from the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment at Częstochowa University of Technology, presented their innovative technologies and scientific achievements that can be applied in the agricultural industry.
They discussed, among other things, the potential of hydrocarbon as a fertilizer and the possibility of using the liquid phase for biogas production.
Modern wastewater treatment technologies were also presented, combining biological processes with advanced oxidation methods (AOPs) that can effectively remove micropollutants.
Particular attention was paid to hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) technology, which is to be implemented in Poland for the first time in cooperation with Schwander Polska. Research on its application in agriculture and other industrial sectors is being carried out intensively by scientists from the Faculty.
The need for legislative work to enable the re-use of municipal wastewater in agriculture was also discussed.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various sectors of science, administration and industry - Dr Krzysztof Fijałkowski (Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology at Częstochowa University of Technology), Dr Mariusz Filipek (Plenipotentiary for deregulation and economic dialogue in the Ministry of Development and Technology), Prof. Anna Grosser, D.Sc. (expert in hydrocarbon and biogas), Prof. Ewa Neczaj (expert in hybrid sewage treatment technology) and Jan Kolbusz (chief technologist and head of sales at Microbiotech).
The presence of representatives from science, industry and administration highlighted the importance of cooperation between these areas in the development of modern and environmentally friendly technologies
