On 18 April 2019, the Schwander Polska company hosted a delegation of representatives of the Schidnica Municipality Office (Lviv Oblast). Ukrainian local government officials carried out a reference visit to a wastewater treatment plant based on the world's most advanced MBR wastewater treatment technology.
During the meeting, the guests had the opportunity to see the technological solutions used in the sewage treatment plant in Młynne (Municipality of Limanowa) with a capacity of 911 m3 / day. The purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences regarding MBR technology and discuss the possibility of future cooperation on the implementation of MBR technology facilities in Ukraine.
The Municipality of Schidnica cooperates closely with the Municipality of Solina, which is the main beneficiary of the cross-border cooperation program between Poland and Ukraine aimed at the promotion and protection of natural heritage. The purpose of the project is to implement environmentally friendly investments aimed at protecting Lake Solina, local rivers and spa waters in Schidnica from pollution by sewage. At the same time, the program aims to create opportunities for the development of tourism in the region as well as to increase its attractiveness for foreign investors.
The visit was attended by the President of the City Council and the Mayor of Schidnica.
